First Baptist Church Creedmoor Academy was founded in 2001. We serve children, their families, and the community in a program that enhances each child’s developmental needs in a warm, safe and, nurturing Christian environment. Currently we serve over 100 families from in and around the Creedmoor area. This includes 101 enrolled children from ages 6 weeks to 5 years. The school-age program presently provides care for 36 children. The program is year-round, with full-day care in the summer as well. As one of the area’s larger employers, FBCA employs 21 full-time and 13 part-time staff.
As many young families know, finding quality and affordable child-care has become increasingly challenging. Our waitlist for enrollment currently sits at over 120 children. FBCA’s mission is to serve these young families. However, we have reached a point of physical capacity in our current building space. An opportunity has presented itself for an existing structure on campus to be outfitted for expansion of the childcare facility.
As a 501(c)(3), our goal is to use all available funding for quality care and that includes growth. To complete a project like this, help is needed. We have been fortunate to raise $100,000 to begin this endeavor but we know this only makes up perhaps a fourth of the need.
This expansion will allow us to serve an additional 32 children and their families from the surrounding area. It will also increase employment opportunities which will in turn help boost the economy.
