“He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. “The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.” – Psalm 46:10-11
If I’m honest, it’s been tough to be still today. The last week has been crazy for me, and more than likely it has been for you too. What started out as a fairly normal week quickly seemed to spiral out of control with hand sanitizer shortages, figuring out how to do an in person job remotely, bare grocery shelves and finally cancellations of institutions that almost seem standard here in the US: church & school.
As I talked to God about the chaos this evening, it occurred to me that I hadn’t taken time to praise Him. And He is worthy of praise. Even when unprecedented circumstances swirl about us, in spite of our confusion, busyness and uncertainty, God deserves our praise.
I invite you, as we walk through this season of unknown together, to spend some time with God each day. Reflect on who He is, His provision and promises that are true even in suffering and confusion. Throughout this season we will be sharing some scriptures to read, as all of us seek to rely on God more and live in a way that reflects His love to those around us.
